We provide an oral cancer screening with each general exam.  ViziLite Plus with TBlue technology enables us to visualize mucosal abnormalities, including pre-malignant and malignant lesions that might be missed during our conventional oral cancer exam.  In one clinical study it was demonstrated that ViziLite Plus with TBlue dramatically reduced false positive rates of lesions identified during conventional visual exams.  As such, we are compelled to offer this to all our adult patients as more than 25% of oral cancer victims have no lifestyle risk factors (tobacco/alcohol use).  Moreover, failure to diagnose oral cancer is the second most frequent reason dentists are sued with some plaintiff award exceeding policy limits.
